Ride Reports and tall tales:

May Meeting

April Meeting

Dan and Kerry rode to Mena, AR where they met up with some old friends. They had a great time and rode some of the many GREAT roads that AR has. They made it to the “world Famous” Oark Café. Spent time in Russellville but as things happen, weather cut the ride short.

Bobby and Bryant made the ride to Ocean Springs. Along the way they spent time riding central AR then through Grenada and then Ocean Springs. Bobby said one mission for this ride was to ride new roads, and they did. He said 80% of the riding was new places. I FIND THAT HARD TO BELIEVE!! I thought the had been almost everywhere, guess not.

Alan and Laurissa made a few day trips. One trip was all new roads to Montgomery AL. Another RTE was a day ride to Vicksburg to eat at the Klondike Trading Post on Washington Street. This lunch spot came recommended from an article in Road Runner Magazine. Don’t waste your time eating there. Better places right down the street. After lunch we rode to Eagle Lake and then the MS river levee to Mayersville. On the levee we saw a black bear, an eagle, turkeys and deer. Then on to Rolling Fork and back home. An all day ride that was a lot of fun.

February Meeting

March Meeting

Dan makes a RTE almost every week and this month was no different. However he did not have much to share.

Alan and Laurissa also make RTEs several times and this month we made it to Annie M’s as well as the good Ole place called Ratliff’s Ferry. Just good riding and food and some times you find old friends, especially Ratliff’s Ferry.

Tommy does the same.

Ricky Hill made it to Alabama for some eats and on the way back road the Fort Morgan- Dalphin Island Ferry. He had a fun day.

James Penecost loves riding off road and had several good rides.

Now comes the Man, Bobby Brooks and Bryant. They started out on a trip to Grassroots BWM in Cape Girardeau, MO. Bobby cannot make a short ride so he included parts of TN, AR, MO and AL. He and Bryant love making miles and seeing wha’ts out there.

David Pell showed up in his new Land Rover to shame us all. Very nice vehicle.

February Meeting
After 3 months of waiting Alan was proud to show off his new R 1300 Adventure!!!! Picked it up and 2 days later it was time for the break in service.

Alan and Dan made a RTE to The Garden Patch and as always the ride was good and the food was too. Today they had a favorite of mine, braised short rips.

Alan, Laurissa and Dan made another RTE to Shady Acres. This time Alan led the route and in some places took 1 lane backroads that only locals know about and use. Fantastic

Ok with a new bike you have to ride so I just took off one afternoon for a 4 hour ride to nowhere. Good stuff.

Bobby and Bryant made a 1,000+ mile RTE to Moonshine, IL for a burger. The riding was good but the burger was, well, just a burger.
